Tau Ceti

Pharoah 90

Pharoah 90, the ruler of Tau Ceti, is one of the more powerful 'dark evils' still plaguing the Galaxy. It is suggested that he/it is a son or lieutenant or vassal of Chaos itself. It is believed that he was a remnant of dark unlife left over from the formation of the Tau Ceti system, and that he (unlike Metallia or Kaguya) eventually gathered sufficient power to kill the senshi of that system and conquer it.

Pharoah 90 was the most alien and nonhuman of the foes of Sailor Moon, more so than Metallia, Death Phantom, or even Snow Princess Kaguya. His thoughts, his motivations, his intentions, can only be conjectured. It seems that when he destroyed the people of Tau Ceti, he replaced them with daimons of his own creation, and that the best of the people were transformed into 'daimon containers.' It is assumed that he intended the same for Earth.

In appearance, Pharoah 90 resembled a fair-sized asteroid or large meteor; he did not assume a human form at any time. While still approaching Earth, Pharoah displayed a ring of flexible tentacles, and a large eye capable of emitting blasting energy. However, after actually landing, he appeared to be a giant fireball. Aside from his power, all we know of him is a gigantic, but ruthless and inhuman intellect. Pharoah 90 possessed enough power to destroy the Earth unaided; he was also nearly impossible to kill. The world-shattering Silence Glaive of Sailor Saturn was his ultimate bane.

Daimons

The daimons that served Pharoah 90 appear to have been artificial life forms created by scientific means. They were composed of at least two distinct types. The lesser sort were intended to fuse with an inanimate object to form an attack monster of limited intelligence and purpose. The superior sort were capable of 'possessing' a human being---it seems that the human had to be willing. These humanlike daimons were much more intelligent, versatile, and powerful. The daimon merged with the human host or 'daimon container' to form a malevolent, more powerful whole with the skills and knowledge of both. The daimon containers retained much of their original personalities; this was especially true of the witches Eudial and Mimete.

Daimons varied in appearance, powers, and attitude, but all were slavishly loyal to Pharoah 90. All shared a ruthless disregard for human life and for other daimons as well. No daimon hesitated to sacrifice or even murder another for the slightest advantage. Pharoah 90 similarly regarded them as expendable.

The most powerful daimon was Mistress 9, who possessed Tomoe Hotaru; the second was her lieutenant Gerumatou who possessed Dr Tomoe Souichi. Other important daimon containers were Kaolinite and the Witches 5 group.

Snow Princess Kaguya

Four and a half billion years ago, the nascent star seeds formed the matter of the Solar System into sun and planets. The worthless dross of this process, hopelessly tainted with dark unlife, was expelled from the system by the Silver Empyrean Crystal. It formed into the sentient comet later known as Snow Princess Kaguya.

Snow Princess Kaguya wandered in exile throughout the galaxy, returning to the Solar System in December of 1994. She assumed a humanoid form or projection for her attack on the Earth; she communicated with Sailor Moon and several others at this time. The snow princess had the power to project freezing cold, emit energy blasts, and create seemingly unlimited numbers of snow dancers. At full power, she was capable of plunging the entire Earth into endless winter. Her object was to reclaim her 'promised' domain, the Solar System, and to freeze all life into 'icy beauty'; forever sterile and unchanging. It is believed that she had murdered other planets in this way. Although the dancers proved vulnerable to senshi attack, Kaguya was capable of withstanding all of them short of Silver Crystal Power. This combined force blast of the 8 senshi destroyed not only Kaguya's human form and all of the dancers, but also her real comet body still out in space.

Kisenian Flower

The Kisenian Flower is a species of sentient plant capable of traveling in seed pod form through interstellar space. Its powers include rapid growth, vine entangle, and highly sophisticated levels of mesmerism. The Kisenian is ruthless and voracious, easily capable of infesting and destroying an entire planet within days of landing. It is a formidable opponent, less for its considerable combat ability, than its insidious cunning. Its modus operendi involves mindlinking to a host victim and subverting his will through manipulation of perception and memory; its mental abilities give it insight into the weaknesses of its victims. As a vegetable, however, the flower is unable to grasp certain human concepts and emotions, and this blind spot constitutes a weakness.
