Dream Dimension: a parallel universe (probably created by human dreams as an extension of the real world) accessible in certain dream states. Home of Zirconia and Vadne. Neherenia and Helios both, for different reasons, took up residence there.

Dream Mirror: that part of the human soul which governs aspirations, memory, and the ability to dream. Deprived of their dream mirrors, the victims become aimless and soulless, easily subjected to a stronger will. A dream mirror can be shattered or consumed, but not simply destroyed.

Droid: artificial humanoid monsters created by the Black Moon.

Energy: life force; it is generated by the pure crystal heart. Loss of all energy will cause death, but even a small amount will sustain existence.

Farce: or Sailor Farce. A human being transformed into a superpowered monster. After the star seed is removed, the victim is infused with Chaos energy.

Fireball Crystal: star seed of the star Kakyuu, and of the princess of Kinmoku.

Galaxia's Sword: Sailor Galaxia's original sword was a form of the Sapphire Crystal. Later she carried a blade forged of gold and Chaos power.

Galaxy Cauldron: located in Zero Star Sagittarius; source of all star seeds. Galaxia intended to replace all seeds in the cauldron and remake them as she chose.

Garnet Orb Staff: weapon of Sailor Pluto. It could be used as weapon or shield, and was the master key to the Time Corridor.

Ginzuishou: the Silver Empyrean Crystal, star seed, of the Moon. One of the purest and most powerful crystals in the Galaxy, it was also the star seed of Queen Serenity, Sailor Moon, and Sailor Chibi Moon. Its potential was almost unlimited, but its greater powers required vast amounts of energy; both Queen Serenity and Sailor Moon died from using it.

Golden Crystal: the star seed of the Sun and of Prince Helios. Although actually more powerful than the Silver Crystal, it required an enormous amount of energy to use.

Golden Elysium: sacred realm of Prince Helios, senshi of the Sun. Originally in Atlantis, removed to Dream Dimension after the fall of Silver Millenium.

Golden Tokyo: capital city of Earth during the Silver Millenium.

Guardian Planet: linked to a senshi by a shared star seed. The senshi's powers are believed to be drawn from the planet. All senshi share the gender and characteristics of their planet.

Guardians: 1) the four warriors who served the Prince of Earth. The last of these, Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite, betrayed their master and joined Beryl. 2) a low-powered advisor/protector/aide to a Sailor Senshi, such as Luna for Sailor Moon, Artemis for Sailor Venus, Phobos and Deimos for Sailor Mars.

Human Races: any of the humanoid races descended from the star seeds. Most of them seem to be human in appearance, but there are variations. Some are vaguely elfin. Others are linked to animals: Mau; cats, Coronis, crows; Chuu, mice; Papillon, butterflies. The inhabitants of Mermaid are aquatic. Each race has unique qualities and their lifespans differ. There were originally three races in the Solar System: Earth humans, Lunarians, and inhabitants of the Dead Moon, but only Earth survived. The former Lunarians, including most of the system's senshi, were reincarnated on Earth some 12,000 years after the fall of Silver Millenium.

Lemures: superpowered monsters serving Queen Neherenia. The former inhabitants of the Dead Moon Kingdom, robbed of their dream mirrors and infused with dark power.

Lethe: planet destroyed by Galaxia; home of Sailor Lethe.

Lifespans: differing between the human races. Earth stands fairly low with a maximum of about 100 years, as compared to 15,000 for Lunarians and 7500 for the Dead Moon. It is believed that the Silver Crystal was the source of the Moon Kingdom's longevity, as it later served for the inhabitants of Crystal Tokyo. Similar differences apply on other planets: the inhabitants of Mau are at least as long-lived as Lunarians.

All senshi have the capacity for immortality, but prior to Eternal Sailor Moon, only a few had achieved it: Prince Helios, Sailor Pluto, Sailor Cosmos. Sailor Galaxia and her minions ceased to age after their star seeds were replaced by Chaos power. Senshi ordinarily age at the same rate as is normal for their race.

Dark entities, such as Chaos, Metallia, Death Phantom, or Pharoah 90 are not truly 'alive' as we know life, and do not age or grow old. They are also practically impossible to kill. However, once destroyed, they are gone forever and cannot reincarnate. Despite their long existence, Beryl and her servants remained human and desired the true immortality promised by the Silver Crystal.

Lunarians: or 'Moon People'; inhabitants of the Moon Kingdom during the Silver Millenium. A highly advanced race, they lived 15,000 years and could survive the airless cold of their planet. All died in 10,022 BC, but were reincarnated on Earth..

Mau: planet conquered by Galaxia, its inhabitants were felinoids. Home of Luna, Artemis, and Sailor Tin Nyanko.

Mercury Computer: example of the Moon Kingdom's advanced computer technology. Typical of that civilization in its efficiency and endurance; still functional after 12,000 years. Other examples of Silver Millenium technology include the Mercury Visor, the Lunar Disguise Pen, and the backup computer in the Moon Palace, with Queen Serenity's memories.

Mermaid: planet in the Coronis system conquered by Galaxia; home of Sailor Aluminum Siren.

Mnemosyne: planet destroyed by Galaxia; home of Sailor Mnemosyne.

Moon Crystal: substance related to the Silver Empyrean Crystal, it was harder than diamond and more resilient.

Moon Rod: or Spiral Heart Moon Rod. "Legendary" Moon weapon wielded by Super-Sailor Moon against Pharoah 90. It drew on the power of the love between her and Tuxedo Mask. Its attack was 'Moon Spiral Heart Attack.'

Moon Scepter: weapon used by Sailor Moon against Death Phantom; its attack was 'Moon Princess Halation.'

Moon Sword: weapon made of Moon Crystal, carried by Sailor Venus as leader of the Inner Senshi.

Moon Tiara: weapon used by Sailor Moon, its powers merely reflected hers.

Moon Tier: power staff of Eternal Sailor Moon.

Papillon: planet conquered by Galaxia; home of Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon.

Pharoah 90: chaotic entity resembling a small star, ruler of Tau Ceti.

Pluto's Staff: see Garnet Orb Staff.

Polearms: weapons employed by the Royal Guard of the Moon Kingdom and by some of the Dark Kingdom invaders.

Pure Crystal Heart: that part of the human soul which generates energy. If lost, the victim will die once his energy is exhausted. The shine of the crystal is a gauge to the heart's purity. A crystal heart is fragile and easily destroyed. Pharoah 90 sought to use crystal hearts as an energy source.

Sacred Cup: or 'Holy Grail'; an item of power concealed within the Sailor Senshi of the Solar System. Only the most powerful could harness its energies.

Sapphire Crystal: Galaxia's original star seed. It was pure gold in color.

Senshi: In Japanese, a soldier or warrior. Specifically, one of the superpowered heroes drawing power from a 'guardian planet.' There are three types of senshi: sailors, who are always female; princes (or kings), who are always male, and princesses (or queens) who are always female, princesses being the most powerful. The senshi of a star system are typically grouped around a ruling princess.

Senshi Powers: vary according to the nature and experience of the senshi, although all seem to share certain powers. Senshi are stronger, faster, and more enduring than ordinary humans. They can project offensive energy and generate defensive shields. They can 'teleport' great distances. They can survive in space and freezing cold, and possess limited telepathy. Princesses have greater potential than ordinary Sailors and can serve as group foci, and fly, using 'princess wings.'

Senshi powers can mature quite quickly; Sailor Moon developed faster in one year than the Moon Princess in 2100, and reached 'Eternal' stage in less than three. Once a plateau of power is achieved, individual development slows to a stop. Note that henshin transformations are not normal in senshi, but were a weakness acquired from reincarnation. The Silver Millenium senshi were always in 'power form,' and the same is true of the mature senshi of Crystal Tokyo.

Senshi Weapons: many of the weapons employed by senshi are in fact merely foci of their personal power: this group includes the Silence Glaive. However, some, such as the Moon Sword, the Space Sword, the Aqua Mirror, and the Garnet Orb Staff, are items of independent power.

Shadow Galaxia: Queen Galaxia's realm on Zero Star Sagittarius. It was protected by surrounding desert, rivers, and garden.

Shadows: the seven 'great yomas' who spearheaded Beryl's attack on Silver Millenium. Killed by Queen Serenity, they were reincarnated in the twentieth century.

Shields: used by Dark Kingdom forces during attack on Moon Kingdom.

Shin: in Japanese, vassal or minister. Title given to the four Guardians of Earth after they entered Beryl's service. Variously rendered 'king,' 'general,' 'warrior,' or 'warlord.'

Silence Glaive: weapon of Sailor Saturn, it could be employed offensively or to project a defensive wall. At full power it could destroy an entire world, but this would cost the wielder her life.

Silver Empyrean Crystal: see ginzuishou.

Silver Millenium: 1) The 2378 years that Queen Serenity oversaw the Solar System. 2) The capital of the Moon Kingdom, located in the 'Sea of Serenity.'

Skirmish: a combat in which one or both sides are represented only by NPCs.

Snow Dancers: semisentient minions of Snow Princess Kaguya.

Snow Princess Kaguya: name given to the sentient comet formed from the dross of the solar system.

Space Sword: weapon of Sailor Uranus; it could be wielded like an ordinary sword or used to emit energy blasts.

Star Bracelets: worn by Galaxia and her minions to compensate for their lost star seeds. These also had the power to draw star seeds from their victims.

Star Seeds: source of all life in the Galaxy, created by the Galaxy Cauldron. Every human being has a star seed in the center of his soul; some people share a single seed. 'Special' seeds formed stars and planets as well; these are those of the senshi. The magic stones, such as the Silver Crystal, are the star seeds themselves. Star seeds are almost indestructible, but can be stolen. A person who loses her star seed will die almost immediately, unless given star bracelets or transformed into a farce. As long as a person's seed is intact, they will be able to reincarnate; it is also possible to use a seed to restore the person to life.

Swords: preferred weapons of the Dark Kingdom Warlords during attack on Moon Kingdom. Several other warriors used swords, most notably Prince Endymion, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Galaxia.

Time Corridor: created by the god Chronos, linking, among other places, Silver Millenium, Crystal Tokyo, and the twentieth century. Guarded by Sailor Pluto, its use was forbidden.

UFO: spaceship used by Dead Moon Clan in attack on Crystal Tokyo. Typical of Black Moon technology in its mixture of futuristic science and dark magic.

Vadne: dream dimension entity; a sentient black hole

Venus Chain: metal chain used by Sailor Venus as a weapon.

Yoma: In Japanese, a ghoul-demon. Term used for humans transformed into superpowered monsters by Beryl and Metallia.

Whips: used as weapons by Karaberas and Sailor Lead Crow.

Wings: or Princess Wings, enable the wearer to fly, and to travel between star systems and dimensions. Not to be confused with members of a naturally winged species, such as Sailor Lead Crow. Winged princesses included Eternal Sailor Moon, Princess Kakyuu, and Queen Galaxia.

Zero Star Sagittarius: located in the center of the Galaxy. Star system of the Galaxy Cauldron and Shadow Galaxia.
